Melt the Ice, Bring the Fire (Vamos a la Playa)

Scraping the ice off the windshield again Ten below zero, the car's dead again Swapped out the parkas for boarding pass screens Leaving the Twin Cities, chasing the dream Goodbye to the snowbanks, the salt on the street We're trading the frostbite for tropical heat Group chat is blowing up, bags are all packed Left the Midwest and we're not looking back Wheels up at MSP, pouring the drinks To the Mexican Caribbean before you can blink The bass is already loud in my head We're leaving the gray for the neon instead Vamos a la playa, the Pink Party's calling! The foam's in the pool and the temperature's falling Wait, no, it's rising, the fever is high Under the Cancun blue Mexican sky Bailando forever, from daytime to night Minnesota girls doing the winter break right! Yeah, we're doing it right! Yeah, we're doing it right! Cabana is booked and the sunscreen is on DJ is spinning the new reggaeton Margaritas in hand, neon pink on our shades Riding the rhythm the synthesizer makes No shovels, no plows, just the waves on the sand Living the vida, exactly as planned From frozen Lake Minnetonka to here One week in February, the best of the year Wheels up at MSP, pouring the drinks To the Mexican Caribbean before you can blink The bass is already loud in my head We're leaving the gray for the neon instead Vamos a la playa, the Pink Party's calling! The foam's in the pool and nobody's stalling The fever is high Under the Cancun, under the Cancun blue Mexican sky Bailando forever, from daytime to night Minnesota girls doing the winter break right! Un, dos, tres, dale! Melt the ice, bring the fire Take the tempo a little bit higher From the subzero wind to the ocean breeze We're shaking off that Midwest freeze! Let's go! Vamos a la playa, the Pink Party's calling! The foam's in the pool and the fever is high Under the Cancun blue Mexican sky Bailando forever, from daytime to night Minnesota girls doing the winter break right! Pink foam, sunshine, zero below? Never again Cancun baby, let's go! Let's go!
